After working with large institutional investors for a decade, Barry Mendel was determined to provide personalized investment management to individuals, families, and small businesses. In 1989, he started Mendel Money Management with 4 households and roughly $7 million in assets under management. Today, our firm has grown to serve over 125 households with approximately $240 million in assets under management.
Barry built Mendel Money Management by helping clients with the full spectrum of financial questions that life dictates. Whether it be tactical ones, such as whether to finance or purchase a car, or big picture life events, such as how much money needs to be saved for college or retirement, Barry always wanted to help his clients in any way he could. In 2013, Brad Mendel joined the firm and set out to encapsulate and define this hands-on style into the firm’s planning process.
Today, Mendel Money Management provides comprehensive financial planning in the context of a long-term partnership with clients. Our process is designed to meet the needs of a select group of clients who appreciate the partnership we can provide them.
